you are going on a journey -
a journey beyond sight, and sound
a journey around the doughnut
this is a journey which ends up where you started from
a journey not to anywhere, or from anywhere, but around and around in
circles.
It's a new millennium now! you can't afford to just sit around
waiting for spirituality to find you - you have to get out there and chase
it. run!
move fast. there is not much to see, and it's all entertainment.
there isn't much to think about either.
enjoy the scenery, but don't stop - because the quicker you get off
the doughnut, the quicker you can get home.
open your eyes, swing your arms, feel your body, move those
legs!
one two, step two, right left, lift those knees...
one two step two keep up stephen step two
one two everyone together three four
one two step two turn two facing me
one two...
be aware of others you may find on the doughnut,
but don't engage them or offer anything - they are probably different
from you, and you won't work well together.
as you move around the circle, think about where you will get off,
and how much time you are prepared to waste here.
notice who else is walking with you, and who is walking in the opposite
direction.
do you think you'll go to the pub after?
who will you invite?
will they want to come?
will they want to come?
on a journey we normally speed... push and shove... jump the ticket
barrier... run the red light
what are you running from?
are they following?
are there bridges you still haven't burnt?
will you get away?
Is anyone else travelling with you? another group perhaps, or
a whole denomination.
think about how you can give them the flick.
our task is not easy, and we can't afford freeloaders.
show your true colours.
move fast.
are you listening to me?
are you paying attention to
me?

(3.9M)
where do we go from here? the journey is around in circles, it
takes us nowhere.
we are caught between the universe outside, and the empty hole in the
centre.
two paths diverge in a wood -
one leads to hopelessness and despair,
the other leads to utter destruction.
the choice is yours.
Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family.
Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines,
cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose
good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose
fixed- interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home.
Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching
luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a
range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who you
are on a Sunday morning.
Choose sitting on that couch
watching mind-numbing sprit- crushing game shows, stuffing
fucking junk food into your mouth.
Choose rotting away at the
end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing
more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats
you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future.
Choose life...
But why would I want to do a thing like that?
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons?
there are no reasons.
who needs reasons when you've got the security of the doughnut?
does what you see make you want to praise, or cringe?
have you learnt to cringe reflexively?
do you practice automatic irony?
destroy what is permanant
critique what is not yours
plunder history and copyright it
you are looking for signs but you can't see any.
this is because you are out in space
take a look in the mirror
you are unique.
you are all individuals
you are out in space.
you are a space cadet.
